Our goal at Light on the Mountain is to be just that: showing forth the Light of Christ. The mission focus is on children’s ministry. We ( Don and Karole Weaver ) have taken into our home 6 “orphaned children” that is they were without a mother. Our plan is to treat them as family and raise them to adulthood. We know God has a plan and work for each of them. We also host a children’s club 2 Saturdays a month with over 100 children enrolled. We teach them from the Bible, feed and play with them.

The mission has worked with the local church helping them start and operate a school. There are classes K1 – 9th grade and about 400 students. The mission has started an orphan program working with a local christian family. We support them to care for 4 orphaned boys. The mission also helps maintain and repair the 15 miles of mountain trail to the nearest town. We also get involved in some humanitarian aid to help the most needy people in the community.
